Muncheestan - Ahmedabad

Muncheestan Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

Yet another late night just-delivery outlet. Now this place has been around for quite some time and I had heard a lot from people who had ordered from them. It was almost 2:30 in the night and my gang was super hungry so we go online to zomato and place an order with them for about 4 dishes including pastas and fried raviolis and garlic bread and the sort. It says they’d take about 75 minutes to deliver which makes the estimated delivery time post 3:45 and we were fine with that. Anything rather than cooking for 6 people at that ungodly hour!

Post the 60 minute mark, we were anxious as to what was going on in the restaurant, so we open the app to track the status and it still reads “order accepted”.  The payment was done in advance via net banking and we still did not see any progress with the order. It hadn’t even reached the stage of “In the kitchen” so naturally we called them and lo! No one would answer. After calling them for a million times during the next hour to no avail, someone from zomato gave us a call that there is some technical glitch and the order should reach us in next 15 minutes. 20 minutes go by and not a single update and the order status too is unchanged on the app. This time we call the zomato guy who had given us a call earlier and we weren’t surprised when even he did not pick up! It was 4:30 and we were furious. More so, we did not want to get into the hassle of getting the payments reverted.

4:45 AM, we go into the kitchen to make ourselves some maggi and the phone rings. After a heated argument they say they’ll deliver in about 10 minutes. When they were finally out for delivery and they could not find our apartment. They finally reached around 5:10 AM with cold food which did not taste good. The paneer chilli had pieces of paneer as big as ice bergs. The fried ravioli turned cold, was a disaster. The only good thing I guess was the pasta. The garlic bread was tossed in horrible smelling oil and had now gone cold do that too was sent to the bin. In the end what we did enjoy was the maggi! What a sad encounter.

I would have said “Bon Appetit!” but with this place, I am not very sure.

  1. Hi Hriday ,
Nothing is worst than a late reply , My apologises for the same -hope you accept them . The day you ordered was not a good day for us too . Muncheestan restaurants phone numbers network provider was Reliance Communication ( The company shut down all its services that night for 3 hours ) Finally we got a Vodafone network as we had pre-applied for portability , This wasn't enough for us to suffer , Our online ordering on zomato was "ON" but the landline number provided for customer to reach our resto doesnt belong to us , Its a number that belongs to zomato all the calls made first goes to zomatos customer center and than redirects to us . BUT OUR BAD LUCK for 3 consecutive days customers called the landline number and due to technical error it never reached our resto , we were clueless about this issue , After calling zomatos account manager they apologized for the technical error and got our number changed , But this couldnt cover our restos reputation and all the loss we faced , We love to serve and bring smile on everyone's face , each customer is important to us so are you and your friends .
I have an official email written to zomato about this incident but they never replied to us ( thought if they will contact you and inform of the same) Finally i got tired of waiting and contacted you.
I personally restaurants owner would like to apologize to you and all your friends .
Please give us one more chance to serve you better .And I am sure this time there would be bundle of happiness on service and qaulity.
Hope to hear from you soon.
    Cheers
    Muncheestan
