Cafe Wrapico - Ahmedabad

I had visited their outlet on Sindhu Bhawan road which has been closed now, sadly. But I liked the taste of their wraps and so I decided to give this one a go. And guess what! I wasn’t disappointed. There isn’t much to say about the place because it really is a small café that mainly does wraps and drinks.

The staff is well trained and they keep the place tidy in a way that you’d notice. They are polite and courteous, which is more than what you get at most restaurants in the city. The seating is quite spaced out but isn’t very comfortable if you sit there chatting for more than an 30 minutes but then I guess one does not need that long to finish one, or even two wraps. So that’s that. The other thing is that you’ll like the simple and minimalistic décor where one element does not over shadow the other. After all, given the number of cafes that open up in Ahmedabad every other month, looks do matter when it comes to attracting the customer.

Coming to the food. The wraps are lovely. We’ve tried quite a few of their wraps and not one has been disappointing. The wrap itself is made in such a way that when eaten hot, you’ll find those crisp brown spots that crackle when you bite into it and the rest of the paratha is soft and steaming and it is all so lovely. The filling may vary on what you’ve ordered but along with the combination of the sauces that they add to it, it is so juicy and creamy at the same time that it melts in your mouth. The crisp vegetables give you the much needed bite and that is what keeps the wrap from going limp. The drinks too were good. We found the shakes to be too sweet the first time and so we asked them to hold the sugar on the 2nd order and it was just what we wanted with the spicy wrap that e had ordered. A lovely new place to hang out at!
